AMAKS "Centralnaya" Izhevsk

Director of Development of AMAKS Hotels & Resorts at the forum of the Association of Health Tourism

Within the framework of the meetings of the annual forum "Investments in the development of a healthy country. Numbers. Evidence. Opportunities" top managers of leading sanatoriums and resorts in Russia discussed, among others, the problem of a shortage of qualified personnel amid the growing popularity of health tourism in the country.

Hovhannes Khanamiryan, Development Director of AMAKS Hotels & Resorts, who participated in the conversation, among the methods that help our network to solve the personnel issue, first of all, outlined the system of training new personnel: “We have developed our own personnel training system. We can take a person without experience and in a short time, using internal algorithms and methods of work, in two weeks to bring him already, for example, to the position of reception administrator. What is very important, we have a mentoring system, that is, more experienced colleagues help newcomers. Mentors' work is tied to KPIs.”

One of the hotly debated problems of the discussion club was also the increase in the cost of FOT in the field of health tourism. There was a comment about the problem from AMAKS: “Let's be honest, the popularity of sanatorium holidays is growing, income is growing, and therefore costs are growing. At AMAKS Hotels & Resorts, we index doctors' salaries to the regional average. What is also important - we offer very good social services.packages, this also motivates the staff very much.”
